This on-location and studio painting workshop is for all levels of painters who want to learn the time-honored joy of paint sketching outdoors and finishing up in the studio. Starting in a controlled studio environment you will paint, practice, setup and prepare for the outdoor plein-air experience. Travel to the site and setup your outdoor studio, painting all day with watercolor (watercolor is the preferred medium for outdoors - it is a simpler setup). Back in the studio, using acrylics or watercolor, we commit to paper or canvas and paint what we have visually imprinted, sketched and photographed. This course will teach you all the basic principles to successfully paint trees, clouds, meadows, mountains, water and abstract landscapes. Be prepared to paint looser, bolder, freer, lighter and more intuitively. Plenty of time for action-fi lled painting exercises, demos and personalized attention. All acrylics and watercolors only.
