Like many of us, John J. (Jim) Salchak has always been an “artist” but did not develop it until an adult. Study and persistence in the fi eld is evident in Jim’s beautiful, expressive work and recognized by many collectors, galleries and major watercolor societies in which he has signature status. Clearly committed to watercolor, he has served as president of both the National Watercolor Society and Watercolor West. Jim is retired now, but if Jim has any time on his hands, you can bet he has a paint brush in one of them.
